Cuban Cafecito!
Stephanie Correa
Ingredients:
- Ground coffee
- White sugar (estimate 2 tablespoons per cafecito serving)
- Water
- Percolator (moka)
Directions:
-
Turn a stovetop burner to medium-high heat.
-
While it's heating up, fill the bottom of the percolator (moka) with water, up to the valve.
-
Insert filter into percolator and add ground coffee to filter and fill to top.
-
Screw top of percolator onto the bottom piece and place on the stovetop burner.
-
While that’s brewing, add sugar to your measuring cup and add the first few drops of the coffee to the sugar.
-
Place percolator back on stove to continue brewing, but mix the sugar and coffee drops until sugar is dissolved and mixture is light beige in color.
-
Once coffee is brewed, add to the measuring cup and stir.
-
Pour coffee and sugar mixture into espresso glasses and enjoy!
