Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup dry rice
  • 2-3 cups of frozen peas
  • ½ cup of diced onion
  • 8oz can of tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pepper to tast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • Olive oil 
  • Water
  • About two cups protein of your choice (optional)

Instructions: 

  1. Make rice as normal.
  2. In a separate pot, cook onions in olive oil for a few minutes then add your protein and cook till its browning.
  3. Then add everything else and enough water to just cover everything.
  4. Mix well and simmer till sauce thickens and peas are tender.
